Flush-mount can lights for kitchens, living rooms, and basements. This work typically includes ceiling cuts, wire runs, spacing layout, and IC-rated housings where insulation contact is involved.
Ceiling Fixtures and Chandeliers
Swapping out an existing ceiling fixture is straightforward. Adding one where there wasn’t one before means running new wire from a switch and making sure the ceiling box can support the weight. Standard boxes aren’t rated for heavy chandeliers. We use the right hardware for the job.
Pendant and Under-Cabinet Lighting
Pendant lights add a decorative element over kitchen islands and dining room tables. Under-cabinet lighting is a functional improvement for countertop surfaces — hardwired installations look clean and stay on their own dedicated switch, no cords draped across your backsplash.

Bathroom vanity lights and hallway sconces require electrical boxes set at the right height. Standard sconce height is around 66 inches from the floor, though vanity placement depends on your mirror.

Repairs We See Most Often
Flickering Lights — Usually caused by a loose connection at the fixture, switch, or panel. Sometimes this can also be caused by an incompatible bulb/switch combination. Multiple lights flickering at the same time points to a system-level issue that needs a closer look.
Lights That Won’t Turn On — Beyond a burned-out bulb or tripped breaker, the problem could be a failed switch, a wiring break, or a tripped GFCI outlet affecting the downstream circuit. We trace the fault and restore function.
Warm Switches or Fixtures — Heat at a switch or fixture means high resistance from a loose connection or an overloaded circuit. This is a potential fire hazard and should be addressed immediately.

Lighting FAQs
Can you install a ceiling fan where I have a light fixture?
Usually yes, but ceiling fans need electrical boxes rated for the weight and movement. Standard light fixture boxes aren’t adequate — we replace the box during installation if needed.
Why do my LED bulbs flicker on the dimmer?
LED flickering has a few possible causes. The most common is a dimmer that isn’t rated for LED use — swapping it out usually solves it. But if it doesn’t, there’s something else going on and we’ll track it down.
Do you work on outdoor lighting?
Yes. Security lights, landscape systems, pathway lighting, and deck/patio fixtures — all using weatherproof components rated for Colorado Springs conditions.
What about older homes with unusual wiring?
We assess existing conditions before work begins and discuss anything that affects the installation. Aluminum wiring, ungrounded circuits — we’ve dealt with all of it and know how to work with it safely.
